MIP is excited to announce the launch of our new Aurorra Wheelchair Pad. The Aurorra Wheelchair pad is a new addition to our existing Aurorra Chair Pads and Floor Pad range, available to order from stock and comes available in blue and maroon colour options.
Our Aurorra Pads consist of 3 layers, each layer designed for a specific function. The top layer features a comfortable quilted Aurorra material, providing excellent stain release properties. The middle layer is an absorbent soaker layer and then lastly is a PVC fluid-proof bottom layer that safeguards your furniture or wheelchair from leaks. The textured bottom surface ensures these pads stay securely in place.
Aurorra is a synthetic fabric that has been tried and tested within healthcare and used in a variety of textile application such as bed pads and chair pads. Below are just some benefits of using Aurorra fabrics within healthcare:
- User Comfort & Durability:
- Aurorra stands out from its warp knit properties, ensuring the utmost comfort to the user. The warp knitting technique is also ideal as it brings anti-snagging and anti-abrasion properties, this significantly prolongs the lifespan of the pads ensuring its durability.
- Shape Retention & Low Shrinkage:
- Aurorra fabric is specifically engineered to withstand high temperature washing, a common requirement for continence care products like wheelchair pads. Its robust nature minimises shrinkage risks and helps it maintain its original shape over numerous wash cycles, making it a cost-effective choice for both individuals and organisations within healthcare.
- Stain-Release & Colour Retention:
- With high stain-release capabilities, it’s exceptionally easy to clean and keeps excellent colour retention even after repeated washing even when washed at thermal disinfection temperatures. This extends the product's lifespan, keeping it looking fresh for an extended period.
- Efficient Drying:
- Aurorra fabric dries remarkably quickly, especially when compared to natural fabrics. This not only reduces drying time but also leads to significant energy savings during the textile drying process.
